Charity Sponsorship from TH Associates

TH Associates take an active interest in local charity events, and are always willing sponsors of our clients’ weird and wonderful money raising activities. Here we bring you news of two clients who recently undertook daring challenges in aide of worthwhile charities.

Danny Shurety, of ISG Plc, was challenged to walk barefoot over red hot coals. Joining 160 other individuals, the benefactor of the event was the Rainbow Trust, a Children's Charity that provides practical and emotional support to families when their child has a life threatening illness.

The coals recorded temperatures of 1200 degrees F, and Danny had 20 feet of these hot coals to cross in front of hundreds of supporters. TH Associates were only too pleased to support Danny Shurety, and the charity he holds so dear to his heart.
Well Done Danny, and all of those who took part in the event held at Gibson Hall on 21st October 2009.

Matt Wildey, of Barratt Homes North London, has bravely accepted a challenge to join colleagues from the Watford office in an Accelerated Freefall Skydive in early 2010, in aide of Help the Heroes, the charity that raises money to support members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their Country.

After a day of training they will be jumping out of a plane at circa 15,000ft, completely unaided, with the exception of the parachute of course! They will be joined by two qualified instructors, who will be there in the sky somewhere near by should the worst occur. After free-falling for several thousand feet, they’ll only have radio contact with a man on the ground who’ll guide them down to the landing zone. None of them have done anything like this before! So we wish them all the best for a happy and safe landing.
