Emmaus Charity project update

In May 2009, TH Associates held a Charity Golf Day at The Grove to raise money for the Construction industry Charity, CRASH. With so many worthy causes to chose, the funds we raised went towards the Emmaus Greenwich project.

The Emmaus Greenwich project is progressing well. Work has now restarted after it had to stop due to the cold snap. The trenches for the foundations have been dug and the steel work is in place. Last week, the contractors were pouring concrete on the foundation, which can be seen from the photograph below.

Dayo, the project leader, has been receiving some QS advice kindly donated by WT Partnership. The Contractor has found this professional advice extremely beneficial. In addition to this, EC Harris have kindly donated the services of Steve Crutchley, who is providing the project with Project Managment expertise.

The project is moving forward nicely, and will soon provide much needed additional space for the Emmaus Greenwich project to refurbish and sell more furniture to support the homeless members of the organisation back into permanent living accommodation.
